Accidents and illness can happen at any time and every year in the UK, thousands of people die or are seriously injured in incidents; many of which could have been prevented if first aid was given before emergency services arrived.
We provide training at Level 2 in Adult Basic Life Support, also know as Emergency First Aid.
Here you will learn simple skills that can help save a life and prevent minor injuries from becoming major ones.

Course Objectives
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

List actions to be taken in the event of an emergency occurring at their place of work.

Use cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on an adult, child and or infant casualty.
​

Know how an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) can be operated safely & appropriately on a casualty.
​

Provide first aid to an unconscious casualty.
​

Provide first aid to a choking casualty.
​

Describe the correct actions to take with regard to control of wounds and bleeding.
​

Describe the correct actions to take with regard to a range of other first aid situations.
Course Overview
Target Population: All staff who may require First Aid Adult Basic Life Support Training.

Course Duration: From 6 hours
​Certification: Level 2 Award in First Aid Adult Basic Life Support.
Assessment: Theory assessment via question paper and demonstration of taught practical skills.
Number of Participants: 12 Maximum
Our First Aid Training:

Meets the compliance requirements placed on trainers by the Health & Safety at Work (Etc.) Act of 1974 & Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.

Can assist with the compliance of the Care Certificate Standard 12 for Adult Basic Life Support developed jointly by Skills for Care, Health Education England and Skills for Health in accordance with UK Resuscitation Council Guidelines and in meeting with regulating / inspecting body training requirements.

Is aligned to the Core Skills Training Framework (CSTF) for Adult Basic Life Support.
