By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
Understand their own role.
Work in ways that have been agreed with their employer.
Understand working relationships in health and social care and work in partnership.
Agree a personal development plan.
Develop their knowledge, skills and understanding.
Understand how duty of care contributes to safe practice.
Understand support available for addressing dilemmas that may arise about duty of care.
Deal with comments, complaints, incidents, errors and near misses.
Deal with confrontation and difficult situations.
Target Population: All staff who may require Person Centred Care Training.
Course Duration: 3 hours.
Certification: Level 1 Award in Understanding your Role, Personal Development & Duty of Care.
Assessment: Knowledge assessment via a question paper.
Number of Participants: 16 Maximum
Is based on the compliance requirements placed on trainers by the Health & Safety at Work (Etc.) Act of 1974; Equality Act 2010; Mental Capacity Act 2005 and associated code of practice; Mental Health Act 2007 and Code of Practice; Human Medicines Regulations 2012; Autism Act; Human Rights Act & the Care Act.
Can assist with the knowledge compliance of the Care Certificate Standard 1. 2 & 3.
Can assist Health & Social Care Diploma candidates with the various elements of their learning.
