Course Objectives
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

Understand the principles of hydration, nutrition and food safety.

Support individuals to have access to fluids in accordance with their care plan.

Support individuals to have access to food and nutrition in accordance with their care plan.
Course Overview
Target Population: All staff

Course Duration: 3 hours
​Certification: Level 1 Award in Nutrition and Fluids.
​
Assessment: Knowledge assessment via a question paper.
​
Number of Participants: 20 Maximum
Our
Nutrition & Fluids
Management Training:

Is based on the compliance requirements placed on trainers by the Food Safety Act of 1990; a variety of food safety / hygiene regulations including those introduced in 2006; the Food Information for Consumers Regulation; and CQC standards.

Can assist with the knowledge compliance of the Care Certificate Standard 8 for Fluids & Nutrition.

Can assist Health & Social Care Diploma candidates with the various elements of their learning.
