  • Explain how to promote effective communication.

  • Describe the principles and practices relating to confidentiality.

  • Explain the importance of handling information correctly.

Course Overview

Target Population:  All staff who may require Effective Communication Training.

Course Duration: 3 hours.

​Certification:  Level 1 Award in Effective Communication.

Assessment: Knowledge assessment via a question paper.

Number of Participants: 20 Maximum

Communication Training:

  • Is based on the compliance requirements placed on trainers by the Health & Safety at Work (Etc.) Act of 1974; Equality Act 2010; Human Rights Act, Data Protection Act 2018 together  with the General Data Protecton Regulation (GDPR) & Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.


  • Can assist with the knowledge compliance of the Care Certificate Standard  6 for Effective Communication.


  • Can assist Health & Social Care Diploma candidates with the various  elements of their learning.
