Course Objectives
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

Understand legal obligations with regard to chemicals and substances.

State consequences of poor chemicals and substances controls.
​

Work safely with chemicals and substances within their working environment.
​

Identify problems associated with chemicals used in their home environment.
Course Overview
Target Population: All staff who may deal with chemicals or substances hazardous to health in the course of their duties.
​
Course Duration: 3 hours
​Certification: Level 1 Award in COSHH Awareness.
Assessment: Knowledge assessment via a question paper.
​
Number of Participants: 20 Maximum
Our COSHH Awareness Training:

Based on the compliance requirements placed on trainers by the Health & Safety at Work (Etc.) Act of 1974, the COSHH Regulations; and requirements placed on employers by industry standards.

Can assists with meeting Care Certificate theory requirements.
​

Can assist QCF Diploma candidates with the various elements of their learning.
